HEARING AIDS
at Sunnyview Hearing Center
We are able to provide and service hearing aids from most hearing aid manufacturers. We typically use Oticon, EarQ, Widex, and Phonak brands of hearing technology.
Hearing aids come in a variety of styles. The right style for you will be determined by your specific type and degree of hearing loss.
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
After a new hearing aid fitting, we routinely schedule several follow up appointments to ensure the proper fit and appropriate amplification of the hearing aids. We also ensure the patient is confident with the hearing aid use and maintenance, and that all questions have been answered to promote the greatest possible benefit from the hearing aids.
An appointment needs to be scheduled for any programming changes.
If a hearing aid is broken, or not working, we offer a walk-in repair clinic at the Schenectady location from 8:30am-11:30am and 1:00pm-3:30pm Monday-Friday. During these hours your hearing aid can be dropped off and examined while you wait. We do recommend you call ahead to confirm the walk in hours before coming to the Schenectady location.
We offer lifetime service on hearing aids purchased through Sunnyview Hearing Center for programming, volume adjustments and cleanings. Other repairs may incur a fee which we will discuss with you after the hearing aid has been examined.
The average battery life is 5-10 days. This varies greatly depending on the severity of the hearing loss, length of daily use, and proper maintenance.
