HEARING AIDS
at Sunnyview Hearing Center
We are able to provide and service hearing aids from most hearing aid manufacturers. We typically use Oticon, EarQ, Widex, and Phonak brands of hearing technology.
Hearing aids come in a variety of styles. The right style for you will be determined by your specific type and degree of hearing loss.
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
After a new hearing aid fitting, we routinely schedule several follow-up visits to ensure: that the physical fit of the hearing aids are appropriate, the hearing aids are providing appropriate amplification, the patient is comfortable and confident with hearing aid use and maintenance, all of the patient’s questions have been answered, and that the patient is receiving the most possible benefit from the hearing aids.
Appointments should be scheduled for programming changes.
If a hearing aid is broken or not working, we offer several options for repair. We offer a repair clinic between 3:00 and 4:00pm Monday through Friday where the hearing aid can be dropped off and examined while you wait. Broken hearing aids can be dropped off at our front desk or in our hallway lock box anytime . We always recommend calling before stopping in during the repair hour to make sure we have an audiologist scheduled that day. Hearing aid repairs tyically take place between 3pm and 4pm in the afternoon, and if you plan on waiting for a repair then we ask that you mention that during your call as well to receive the best service possible.
We offer lifetime service on new hearing aids obtained from Sunnyview Hearing Center. For as long as you own your hearing aids, all programming adjustments, cleanings, and in-house repairs (any repair that does not require sending the hearing aid to the manufacturer or purchasing a part) are covered at no charge.
The average battery life is 5-10 days. This varies greatly depending on severity of the hearing loss, length of daily use, and proper maintenance.
